📣A Message From Race Director Lisa📣
The Retford Half Marathon has been in the planning for the last 9 months. As your new Race Director I was very pleased to welcome you all. We had our most successful year since covid hit with the number of entrants being 908 + 25 on the day registered for the Half Marathon, and a further 58 children and adults for the Dave Maiden family fun run.
The rain did not deter any of you starting and the smiles when people finished made all of the planning worthwhile. I watched people smash their targets, beat their personal bests and for some complete their first every half marathon. So a big WELL DONE to everyone.
I have a few thank you's to make as the day wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for all the marshalls and helpers who came together to make the day run so smoothly, so thank you to each and every one of you!
I would also like to thank our suppliers,Chevron (Road Closure), St Johns Ambulance (First Aid), The Green Toilet Company (Portable Toilets), Retford Oaks Facilities Management (Kajima). Running Imp (momentos).
